The South Central Railway (SCR) will operate special trains and provide additional bogies for the convenience of passengers, in view of the proposed APSRTC strike, which begins from Monday midnight.

Railway authorities announced that four express trains, moving towards Hyderabad from Tirupati and Narsapur and Karimnagar, were augmented with additional coaches to clear the extra rush from August 12 to 20.Train No.12764/12763 Secunderabad-Tirupati-Secunderabad (Padmavathi Express) would be augmented with one sleeper class coach in both directions. The trains would have 14 coaches. Train No. 17401/17402 Tirupati-Machilipatnam-Tirupati expresses trains would be provided with one sleeper class coach. The trains would have seven bogies after augmentation.Train Nos. 17256/17255 Hyderabad-Narsapur-Hyderabad would be attached with one additional sleeper class coach, totalling seven coaches, from August 13 to 20. Similarly, train Nos. 12761/12762 Tirupati-Karimnagar-Tirupati Express would be attached with one sleeper class coach in both directions. The trains would run with nine sleeper class bogies in both directions, said the railway officials.The SCR is operating six special trains with Nos. 08637/08638 Hatia-Yesvantpur-Hatia, with 15 coaches in both directions. The trains will touch Visakhapatnam, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Tirupati, Pakala, Chittoor and Katpadi stations.
