Title - State urged to complete pending projects

The YSR Congress Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday demanded that the government must take initiative to complete long pending projects such as the ring road, Kotipalli railway line and the delta modernisation works.Activists of the YSR Congress Party staged a dharna outside the Collectorate registering their protest against the preventive arrest of their party leaders.Meanwhile, representatives of the Struggle Committee against the Kakinada Special Economic Zone called on the Chief Minister in the guesthouse in the morning and submitted a detailed representation on the issue. President and convener of the committee Bavisetti Narayana Swamy and Chinta Suryanarayana Murthy told the Chief Minister that the members of the struggle committee were subjected to police harassment.They said majority farmers were opposing the KSEZ project and they were seeking their lands back. Speaking to the reporters, the duo said the Chief Minister had assured them that a detailed review on the KSEZ would be conducted and the government would announce its decision on the future of the project very soon.
