Title - State projects too come under ATSUM stir purview

Imphal : In addition to ceasing national projects in the hill districts, ATSUM has decided to bring State projects under the purview of its ongoing agitation.Speaking to The Sangai Express, ATSUM speaker Majabung Gangmei claimed that the railway work between Tupul and Jiribam has been banned totally since the intervening night of June 7 and 8 .ATSUM is now prepared to take up violent forms of agitation in addition to bringing State projects under the purview of agitation code named ROTO.Meanwhile, PRO of private company engaged in the railway construction work said that their company has ceased all activities following ATSUM's intimation towards this effect.Other companies too have stopped working, according to the PRO.Until and unless, adequate security is provided, there is no question of resuming work.Altogether 10 private companies are working under NF Railway.Notably, ATSUM has been demanding the State Government to address shortages/shortfalls in health and education sectors in hill districts and implement reservation system properly.
