Integral Coach Factory won the all-India ball badminton tournament conducted by the St. Joseph’s college of Engineering at its campus on Tuesday.

ICF beat Hathway (Hyderabad) 29-22, 29-13 in the deciding match of the super league semifinals and claimed the cash award of Rs. 40,000. Hathway won Rs. 30,000 while Southern Railway and IOB took home Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively.

Mr. Wilson Cherian, Sports Officer, Southern Railway, presided and gave away the prizes. Dr. Babu Manoharan, Director, St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, presided over the function.

The results: Super league semifinals: Hathway bt Southern Railway 21-29, 29-20, 29-15; ICF bt IOB 29-21, 29-12; Hathway bt IOB 29-14, 29-16; ICF bt Southern Railway 29-14, 29-11; Southern Railway bt IOB 27-29, 29-10, 29-21; ICF bt Hathway 29-22, 29-13. Quarterfinals: Hathway bt Southern Railway B 29-20, 29-23; IOB bt East Coast Railway 29-16, 29-18; Southern Railway A bt Muppannas Club (Andhra) 29-26, 29-15; ICF bt BDL (Hyderabad) 29-25, 29-9.
