AHMEDABAD: In a bid to handle the festival rush during Diwali and Durga puja, the Western Railway has decided to introduce a weekly train between Bhanvagar and Mumbai via Ahmedabad.The railways has also decided to attach an additional coach to Okha-Rameshwaram express from October 9.According to officials, the Bandra Terminus-Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar weekly special train 09231 will run 26 trips between October 9 and December 31.It will depart at 12.55 pm on every Monday from Bandra Terminus and reach Bhavnagar at 04.10am on Tuesday.Similarly, Train 09232 weekly special from Bhavnagar to Bandra Terminus will leave Bhavnagar every Sunday at 5.05pm and reach Mumbai at 7.35am on Monday.The train will halt at Songardh, Dhola, Botad, Joravarnagar, Viram-gam, Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, Maninagar, Nadiad, Anand, Vado-dara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Vapi and Borivali stations in both directions.The train will have AC III tier, sleeper class and second class general coaches. |
