Title - Special trains for Dasara

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Indian Railways will operate two pairs of Durga puja weekly superfast express trains via Visakhapatnam between Chennai Central and Kamakhya during Dasara. The train numbers 02508 and 02507 Kamakhya-Chennai Central-Kamakhya weekly superfast express train will depart Kamakhya on Monday at 2 pm and reach Chennai Central at 2.55 pm on Wednesday. The Chennai Central-Kamakhya express will depart from Chennai at 11 am on Thursday and reach Kamakhya at 12.30 pm on Saturday. The trains will go enroute to Asansol, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Berhampur, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Duvvada and Vijayawada. Train number 02508 Kamakhya-Chennai Central departing on Mondays will pass the city railway station on all Wednesdays between September 18 and November 27. Similarly, Train number 02507 Chennai Central-Kamakhya express departing on Thursdays will pass the city railway station on Fridays between September 20 and November 29, according to a release. The pair of trains will have one AC two-tier and AC three-tier coach each, seven sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches besides two second class sitting-cum-luggage compartments.

Two weekly superfast AC express trains will run between Santragachi and Chennai Central stations via Visakhapatnam. Train number 08041 Santragachi-Chennai Central will depart on Saturdays at 7 pm from October 5 to November 30, while 08042 Chennai Central-Santragachi express will depart on Mondays from October 7 to December 12. The trains will have one AC first class coach, four AC two-tier, seven AC three-tier coaches, pantry car and generator car facility.
