Title - Special facilities for differently-abled passengers on 14 stations of Chennai Division

Chennai Division has provided standard facilities for Divyang - Differently abled passengers on its 14 railway stations. Some of the special facilities that have been provided by Chennai Division are non-slippery walkways, help booths, water taps, standard ramps, parking facilities, signs, toilets in ground floor, wheel chairs etc.

Chennai division is also planning to provide such facilities at its 70 other railway stations at an estimated cost Rs. 3.80 crores. Tender related to these works will be out in third week of March.

Furthermore, 12,735 differently-abled persons have been issued ID cards upto January, 2018.These ID cards will help them enjoy the many privileges that railways offer.
