Special Drive Against Ticketless Travel

Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted a Special Drive today i.e., (17th June, 2013) under the direct supervision of Shri A Bharat Bhushan, Chief Commercial Manager, South Central Railway involving 85 Ticket Checking Staff, 12 RPF Personnel & Officers from Commercial Branch.

Many Express and Passenger trains were stopped at Cherlapalli Station especially for the special checkduring the drive.


A total of 566 persons were apprehended out of which 413 persons were found travelling without ticket and 46 persons were found travelling irregularly and 107 cases of un-booked luggage. A total amount of Rs. 1, 89,000/- was realized towards penalty from these ticketless / irregular travelers.
