Title - Southern Railway makes elaborate arrangements for pulse polio drive

The Southern Railway, Madurai Division, has made elaborate arrangements throughout the Division to implement the nation-wide Intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme on Sunday.Pulse Polio booths would be open at the Southern Railway Women's Welfare Organisation Matriculation school, the Railway Hospital and also the Old Railway Colony.Two teams would be available at Madurai Junction to cover the children travelling by trains, a statement said.In addition, oral drops would be administered at all health units and railway stations at Dindigul, Palani, Virudhunagar, Tenkasi, Sengottai, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Rameswaram, Manamadurai and Karaikkudi among others.

Mobile teams
Besides, mobile teams would cover railway colonies in the wayside stations with the aid of motor trolleys and vehicles.Railway doctors, paramedical staff, Southern Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides would take part in the programme.
