Title - Southern Railway grants out of turn Promotion for Athlete

Southern Railway has given out of turn promotion to Bibin Mathew, Deputy CTI / Palakkad as CTI (Chief Ticket Inspector) in higher grade as per Scale 7 in appreciation of his achievements in Athletics.
He has participated in 18 International Athletic Championships, the latest of which was the 2017 Asian Athletic Championships.In the 2017 All India Railway Meet, he won Gold Medals in 400 metres and 4 x 400 relay events.
Bibin Mathew also gave outstanding performances in consecutive Open Nationals and has won 75 medals so far at national level.He secured the 2nd position in the 52nd Open Nationals held during September, 2012 in Chennai.He secured the 3rd position in the 53rd Open Nationals held during September, 2013 in Ranchi and the 2nd position in the 54th Open Nationals held during November, 2014 in New Delhi.
