The South Central Railway Women’s Kabaddi Team, which bagged the 36th Women All India Railway Kabaddi Championship held at Chakradharpur called o­n Shri G N Asthana, General Manager, South Central Railway today, i.e.27th November 2012 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. The General Manager complimented the team for its excellent performance.Shri P C Gajbhiye, Chief Mechanical Engineer/SCR and President, SCR Sports Association (SCRSA), Shri Siva Prasad, CPTM/SCR and Secretary, SCRSA, Shri A K Singh, Secretary (Public Grievances) & Secretary/Kabaddi, SCRSA, Shri Mohd. Naeem, Sports Officer, SCR, Shri Danam Reddy, Chief Coach and Shri Narsing Reddy (Manager) of the Kabaddi Teams were also present o­n the occasion.The championship was held from 22nd to 25thNovember 2012 in which 7 Teams participated.The Final match was held between South Central Railway and Northern Railway. South Central Railway women’s team won by 4 points (27-23) over Northern Railway and bagged Gold Medal. Teams represented in the championship are Central Railway, East Central Railway, Eastern Railway, Northern Railway, South Eastern Railway and South Central Railway

V Tejaswani Bai of South Central Railway has been awarded with Best All Rounder title in the championship. Mangala Desai (Captain) led the Team. South Central Railway Mens Team stood at third place in the All India Railway Kabaddi Championship.
