Railways say that first stage talks are over and final decision are yet to be taken. Railway also wants to promote paperless ticketing as passengers on busiest days are bound to wait in long queues in order to take a ticket. Not only it will be more convenient for passengers but also it will save their precious time. Railway Ministry wants to move into e-commerce sector more prominently so that railway can earn more money. As per data,, daily 2.3 crore passengers travel from Indian Railways travel out of which only 6% of passengers travel in reserved class while rest takes unreserved.
