Title - Sonia to inaugurate Rail coach factory on Nov 7

A railway official said on Saturday, Congress president Sonia Gandhi will inaugurate the Rail Coach factory in her parliamentary constituency Rae Bareily November 7.   The inauguration, delayed by over 18 months, was earlier scheduled for July 7 last year. It could not take place then as farmers who had given their land for the project were yet to get jobs in the railways as promised.   Other than inaugurating the rail coach factory, Gandhi would also be handing over the appointment letters to 613 local farmers, told the official.   Work on assembling the coaches has already begun at the rail coach factory in Lalganj. The coaches made here are also being used in Rajdhani and Shatatabdi trains, an official said.   The Lal Ganj rail coach factory is the third in the country. It has a capacity of producing 1,000 stainless steel coaches in a year, said the railway official.    It has been set up at a cost of Rs 1,685 crore and is spread over 550 hectares.
