BHOPAL: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday has directed the officials to implement metro rail projects of Bhopal and Indore within time-limit.According to state government authorities, the projects costing around Rs. 8,000 crore will be completed with 70 percent loans and 15 percent grants each of the central and state governments.Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave these instructions at a review meeting of urban administration and development department in Bhopal on Monday. Departmental minister, Babulal Gaur and chief secretary R. Parasuram were also present on the occasion.It was informed at the meeting that global tenders will be invited after centre's approval of detailed project report (DPR) of metro rail project.Chief Minister Chouhan directed that work should be started soon on the project to free Narmada river from Amarkantak up to state's border. It was discussed at the meeting that there are 53 cities on the banks of Narmada river from Amarkantak upto Gujarat border where schemes are being chalked out for disposal of sewer water.Chief Minister, Chouhan directed that special attention should be paid to quality of urban infrastructural works. Special attention should also be paid to tax recovery in urban bodies. |
