Amritsar : Passengers, who have travelled in Amritsar-Delhi Shatabdi Express, complain of stale and unhygienic food in the train.Mohinder Singh, a resident of Nikka Singh Colony here, who was travelling in C-6 coach in the train on May 5, was allegedly served stale and unhygienic chappatis. When he took up the matter with the pantry staff, he was told that nothing more could be offered at the present rate. He also lodged a complaint with the guard’s complaint book. Pardeep Kumar, Commercial Inspector, IRCTC, said officials of his department frequently carry out tests to ascertain the quality of food. He confirmed that many a time they found quality of food unfit for human consumption. |
