Title - Several trains rescheduled

East Coast Railway on Friday said timings of 25 trains under its jurisdiction were changed.The changed schedule would come into effect from July 1. Puri-New Delhi Purusottam Express – one of the most popular trains - will leave Puri at 9.45 p.m. instead of its present scheduled departure at 9.50 p.m.Another train, Puri-Haridwar Express will leave Puri at 08.55 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. Timings of this train at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road and Bhadrak will be differed, said ECoR in a statement.Trains Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express, Puri-Howrah Express, Puri-Barbil and Puri-Paradeep Express would follow a new timetable.Similarly, timings of Rourkela-Bhubaneswar Inter City Express, Rourkela-Koraput Inter City Express, Sambalpur-Puri Inter City Express, Titilagarh-Howrah Express, Rayagada-Ttitilagarh Inter City Express, Durg-Jagadalpur Express, Sambalpur-Varanasi Express, Sambalpur-Rayagada Inter City Express, Sambalpur-Nanded Express, Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Express at Visakhapatnam, Puri-Okha Express and Visakhapatnam-Shalimar Express have been changed.

There will be different timings for Puri-LTT Express, Puri-Valsad and Puri-Bikaner Express. East Coast Railway has also changed the timings of local passenger trains. Lokmanya Tilak terminus (LTT)-Bhubaneswar-LTT Express will be extended to Puri while Bhubaneswar-Bhawanipatna-Bhubaneswar Express will be extended to Junagarh.

ECoR said frequency of Sambalpur-Nanded-Sambalpur Bi-weekly Express and Visakhapatnam-Nanded-Visakhapatnam Bi-weekly Express will run three days in a week instead of earlier two days in a week. Similarly, Visakhapatnam-LTT-Visakhapatnam Express will run daily instead of earlier two days in a week. It said the date of increase in frequency of these trains would be notified at a later stage.

Besides, several weekly trains would now leave their respective originating stations from a different date. They include Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Duronto Express, and Bhubaneswar-Tirupaty Express.

New trains

From July 1, 12 new trains will be placed in the new time table and the introduction of these new trains will be notified in due course.

These trains include Bhubaneswar-New Delhi weekly Express, Bhubaneswar-Tirupaty Weekly Express, Puri-Sainagar Shirdi-Puri and Visakhapatnam- Gandhidham- Visakhapatnam.
