In Bihar, seven persons have been killed and more than dozen injured when a bus of an engineering college collided with Howrah-Kathgodam Bagh express at an unmanned crossing near Chap-dhalla locality in Siwan district of Biahr. The seriously injured persons have been sent to PMCH, Patna and injured are admitted to the Sadar Hospital Siwan. Railway has announced compensation of 5 lakh rupees to the next of the kin of the dead, 1 lakh for seriously injured and 25 thousand rupees for each injured person. Bihar government has also announced 1.5 lakh rupees to the kin of those dead in the incident. Angry over the incident, local residents torched the engine of the train and damaged railway property. |
