Title - Server snag hits railway bookings

JAIPUR: Hundreds of commuters had a harrowing time when the server of railway reservation counters at two places here remained snag-hit for more than four hours. The passengers were stranded and could not book tickets etc. Heavy rush was seen at the railway reservation counters of Gandhi Nagar railway station and Jaipur Junction here on Monday.At the Jaipur railway station's main reservation counter, several foreign tourists were seen. The operations were hit between 10.30 am and 2.30 pm. Apart from the regular travellers, the railway agents who book tickets in bulk, were also upset as the site of Indian Railways Catering and Travel Corporation (IRCTC) was down during the same period.The reservation clerks had vanished from their seats and there was no information on what was happening and by when things would fall in place. Authorities of the Jaipur division of north western railways (NWR) said that the server is connected with the main server in New Delhi.
