Title - Serial molester lands in police custody

KOZHIKODE: Passengers of Parasuram Express on Saturday morning nabbed Jambuli Biju, an accused in various molestation attempts, and handed him over to the police after he tried to molest a 23-year-old woman who was travelling to Thiruvananthapuram from Kannur.Biju, a native of Kollam, was later handed over to the railway police here. He had tried to molest the woman after the train left Vadakara railway station and he was detained by passengers till it reached Kozhikode station. Biju reportedly tried to attack the woman even in the presence of police.The woman and her father later filed a complaint with the police. Biju later tried to attack a lady doctor at the government medical college hospital here, where he was taken for a medical examination. The doctor has also filed a complaint against him. Police officers said Biju was trying to make an impression that he was mentally disturbed.The police had earlier taken him to the government beach general hospital for the medical examination. A police officer said he had suffered serious injuries on his face and head during the altercation with the rail passengers.It came to light later that he was involved in a molestation attempt of a housewife at Anchal in Kollam on May 3. He had suffered an injury on his upper lip when the housewife resisted the attack.Biju has been was later produced in the judicial first class magistrate court I and remanded in judicial custody till June 21.
