Title - Security at railway station reviewed

Srinagar:  DIG, Railways, AK Atri held a meeting on the review of security on the eve of Independence Day at the railway station here yesterday. The security arrangements made by the Government Railway Police (GRP), Kashmir, were discussed threadbare, an official spokesman said. Security pertaining to railway tracks, trains and measures of checking on the railway station were discussed. The DIG ordered 24x7 patrolling on the tracks.The need for collecting intelligence inputs with regard to movement of anti-national elements within their areas of responsibility was stressed upon. The GRP officers were asked to be in a close liaison with the territorial police for assistance, if need arises. —
