South Central Railway, Vijayawada won the DRM Cup State-level invitation basketball tournament, beating East Coast Railway, Waltair 60-41 in the final at the Railway stadium on Monday evening. It led 33-23 at half-time.Ch. Naveen Kumar of SCR, Vijayawada, was adjudged ‘Player-of-the-tournament’ and host captain J. Tarun Kumar received the award for ‘best all-round display’.

Final: South Central Railway, Vijayawada 60 (Ch. Naveen Kumar 36) bt East Coast Railway, Visakhapatnam 41 (Hari 12). Semifinals: East Coast Railway, Waltair bt SBI, Hyderabad 62-52; South Central Railway, Vijayawada bt Visakhapatnam District Basketball Association 37-20.
