Title - SCR organises Vigilance Awareness Week

Emphasis should be on minimising inconvenience to citizens, while taking up major work line Metro Rail in cities.One day delay in major project works results in crores of losses to the nation, said E. Sridharan, Principal Advisor to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.Addressing at a seminar on “Ethics in Management-Lessons from Corporate World”, he said minor deviations committed by decision makers or managers with an intension to benefit the organization or society should not be penalized.The seminar was organised by South Central Railway (SCR) as part of observance of “Vigilance Awareness Week” from October 29 to November 3. He said that he was against privatization of railways. On the highly acclaimed Delhi Metro Railway, Dr. Sridharan told the first and second phase of Delhi Metro works were completed before target date.“The 143 km, third phase of the Delhi Metro with an estimated budget of Rs. 40,000 crore will also be completed in time,” said Mr. Sridharan.He later released the vigilance bulletin brought out by the Vigilance Organisation.
