After the BMRCL issued an official set of guidelines to the entertainment world for shooting on the Metro trains, there has been a huge buzz in the Kannada film industry (Sandalwood). Interestingly, the industry is divided in opinion over shooting.“Even if many rules are set, there will always be excited fans who would want to see how shooting for a film takes place. This would just cause a lot of inconvenience to the public,” actress Pooja Gandhi said.Actor Sudeep echoed a similar view. “I am a citizen of Bangalore and just like me, many would want to use the Metro as it is a means of public transport. I don’t want to cause any inconvenience to anyone just because we have to shoot a sequence there. It would disturb the daily life,” he said.Producer K Manju has a solution. “If a script demands a scene to be shot in a Metro train, we can abide by the guidelines and seek all permissions for it. But we all know that this would cause inconvenience to many so we can always create the set to look like its being shot at the station,” he suggested. |
