Title - Runaway express: Rail accident averted in Bihar

An unmanned train started moving from Rajgir station in Bihar on Saturday, but officials managed to chase the runaway and pull the brakes.According to reports, the Shramjeevi Express which was in the parking bay after arriving from Delhi suddenly began moving on the tracks.Noticing unusual activity, the station master directed other trains approaching to the station on the same track to stop.Officials and another train driver then chased the train for almost four kilometres. As the train was moving relatively slowly, they managed to jump into the cabin and pull the brakes.An inquiry on Sunday revealed that the train's braking system had failed. Authorities suspended two train drivers and supervisors for not checking the technical glitch properly.
