Title - Rs 15 lakh in 10 days - Mumbai AC local attracting lots of commuters

Two weeks later after launching Mumbai's first Ac local train Western Railway seems to be very satisfied with it. More than 40,000 passengers chose to take AC ride thereby benefiting Western Railway with 15 lakh rupees. After initial launch of December 25 between Borivali and Churchgate, rail authorities announced that AC local train will operate between churchgate and Virar from January 1 except weekends which was kept for maintenance.

Western Railway had also registered growth in monthly and weekly passes on day to day basis by commuters. Especially regular office crowd is showing keen interest in AC ride.

Commuters who hold first class passes have been demanding entry inside the AC local without additional cost. All these demands are currently being analysed by Western Railway.
