Title - Redevelopment of 600 stations

To provide richer experience to passengers, Indian Railways has started redevelopment of railway stations. Railway has identified 600 railway stations for this purpose across the country where the following services will be improved -

• Improvement to circulating areas to streamline traffic flow.
• Redevelopment of parking areas so that pick-up and drop facilities can be improved.
• Restructuring platform surface.
• Construction of washable apron.
• Systematic collection and removable of garbage. 
• Improvement to existing waiting halls, waiting rooms, Retiring rooms.
• Provision of modular water kiosks and water ATMs. 
• Construction of paid lounge.
• Improvement to booking areas.
• Foot-over-bridge widening.
• Provision of modular catering kiosks, stainless steel benches.
• LED lightning.
• Suitably located charging points.
• Provision of tactile tiles, standard modular signages etc for physically challenged.
• Any other item considered necessary by Divisional Railway Manager/General Manager.
