Title - RCF to build meto rail and high speed coaches

The largest and a modern manufacturing unit of Indian Railways, Rail Coach Factory, RCF, Kapurthala is equipped with best of engineering and Information Technology equipments and is all set to manufacture metro rail coaches and high speed coaches, General Manager Kapurthala B.N. Rajasekhar said at the eve of 57th Railway Week Celebration. He said RCF in these 25 years has built more than 25000 coaches. With the new technology RCF has contributed in bringing sophisticated disc brake system, high speeds bogie coach etc. He said the factory is ready to roll out two more rakes of AC Double Deckers in the current financial year. He said that one rake to run between Indore and Bhopal will be rolled out by December end and the other between Chennai and Bangalore would be rolled out by March, next year. To keep the rail tracks clean from human waste, the RCF has introduced bio-toilets using bacteria. 1200 more such toilets would be fitted in the current financial year. RCF is also working on introducing Fog Safe device in rail engines so that fog related problems during winters could also be taken care of. RCF has manufactured double-decker coach, stainless steel coach, MEMU coaches for export to overseas market.
