Title - Railway team attempts to find out reasons for derailments

VARANASI: A joint investigation was conducted by the NER (Varanasi) and NR (Lucknow) on Saturday for finding out the reasons for repeated derailment of Kanpur-Gorakhpur Chauri Chaura Express at Cantonment railway station.Divisional railway manager, NER (Varanasi), Lalit Kapoor and DRM, NR (Lucknow), Jagdeep Rai, along with other railway officials, visited the Cantonment railway station for the purpose.According to the DRM, NER (Varanasi), the prima facie evidences have suggested defect in the railway coach but the details of the investigation would be known only after the final report of the joint team. He also added that the matter was being investigated while taking into consideration all aspects and angles.It may be mentioned here that after derailment of Chauri Chaura Express on Thursday, two coaches of Manduadih-Chapra passenger train were also derailed at Cantt yard on Friday.
