Title - Railway staff rewarded for official work in Hindi

Competitions aimed at brining out the talent of the railway staff in Hindi, marked the Hindi day celebrations of Tiruchi railway division held in the city recently.Manjula Rangarajan, Divisional Railway Manager, who was the chief guest, stressed the importance of learning Hindi.She commended officers and staff who came forward to do work in Hindi which enabled the division to bag the ‘General Manager’s Efficiency Shield’ for the excellent implementation of official language during the year 2011-12 and ‘Town Official Language Implementation Committee Rolling Shield’ for the same period.S. A. Abdul Rahman, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, emphasized the need for imparting Hindi conversational skills to frontline staff.Santha Ragothaman, Rajbhasha Adhikari, presented the annual report on the achievement of Rajbhasha department.The DRM gave away prizes to 200 staff who do their official work in Hindi.
