Title - Railway official uses extra coach to transport personal belongings comes under CBI

A senior official in Integral Coach Factory (ICF) landed himself in trouble when he allegedly used a railway luggage coach to transfer his personal belongings.

The CBI got a tip-off and instantly raided the coach. The CBI detached the coach from the train and searched the compartment. The train left the station without coach, however later it was found that there were only personal items and other household articles the official placed in the compartment to transport it to West Bengal.

A case was registered against the official as the railway coaches are used only for official purpose. The agency will examine that whether if any irregularity has been committed by the official by seeking to transport personal things on a railway coach on a regular basis.
