Title - Railway appeals people not to carry firecrackers in trains

In view of the Diwali festival, the South Central Railway (SCR) here today appealed to the passengers not to carry fire crackers or any inflammable substances in trains.Noting that carrying of such items in trains or at railway stations poses grave safety threat, the SCR also said carrying inflammable and explosive articles on Railways is a punishable offence as per law, SCR said in a release.The SCR has appealed to the passengers to alert nearest railway staff or call on 040-27833366 or SMS to 09701370728 to enable the Railways to initiate prompt action, the release added.
