Title - Rail services disrupted

Train services were interrupted for hours at the Kozhikode railway station when two bogies of the Kannur-Kozhikode Passenger derailed while shunting on Wednesday. The incident took place around 8.30 p.m. while no passengers were inside the train.

As there were no recovery vans at Kozhikode, officials had to wait for the arrival of one from Shornur to clear the tracks. Only platform one was operational till the restoration of the services. — Staff Reporter
