Title - Pune station to get Selfie Points

'Selfie Points' will be set up at Pune Railway station by Central Railway. Under re-development program of 600 railway stations with private participation, 70 stations will be developed by Indian Railways on its own. 

According to railway authorities, decision to develop selfie points is taken to avoid any mishap with in rail premises leading to loss of life. These points will be safe and will be located in a manner to get the best shots out of it.

Data suggests that 119 causalities took place during last financial year due to trespassing. While in the current financial year the figure is 152 till January.

Activists say that selfie points should be set up on station premises and not on platforms.
