Title - Proposed train to Mangalore hits a roadblock

Anil Kumar Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, South Western Railway, Bangalore, has said that the proposed special train between Yeshwantpur and Mangalore will be run only after sorting out issues connected to the “path of the train.” He clarified here on Monday that that the services were not cancelled on account of the election code of conduct for the bypolls to Mandya and Bangalore Rural Lok Sabha constituencies.

Services

The services of Yeshwantpur-Mangalore-Yeshwantpur Express Special were to begin on Sunday from Yeshwantpur and on Monday from Mangalore. It was to run till September 2.

The train was to pass through Tamil Nadu and Kerala before reaching Mangalore via Bangarpet, Kuppam, Jolarpettai, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kozhikode, Thalassery and Kannur.
