Recently suburban train route over Howrah Division has connected Barddhaman Jn. to Katwa Jn. (via Balgona). Consequently, Howrah – Barddhaman (via Main/Chord), Barddhaman – Katwa (via Balgona) and Katwa – Howrah sections are formed o­ne circular route. For covering o­ne round of circular route, the location of ‘VENDOR’ coach of the EMU trains will be changed with respect to existing nominated place of platform. 
In order to standardize the 12-Car EMU rake composition, the change of location becomes necessary so that even after reversing the rake, the position of ‘LADIES’ and ‘VENDOR’ coaches remain unaltered.

Standardization of formation of all the existing EMU rakes will be done from 1 May to 30 May, 2018. Meanwhile, EMU trains will run with both new & old composition which may cause some inconveniences to vendor & ladies coach passengers.
