Title - Passengers protests against train delay in Chennai Division

Rail traffic was disrupted at Arakkonam Railway station on Tuesday morning when passengers of Arakkonam - Chennai EMU staged protest against train delay. Rail officials say that due to signalling fault two Chennai bound trains were delayed.

Passengers started their protest at 07:10 AM in the morning that lasted for half an hour. Due to protests two trains from Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru got delayed.

Passengers were complaining of delay on regular basis. According to them 30 minutes to one and half hour delay is minimum for the train on daily basis. Many passengers are finding it difficult to reach their offices on time. Railway authorities should ensure that proper announcements are made.
