Title - Passengers not happy with Suvidha trains pricing

Railway runs Suvidha trains when the demand is high like for example in festive seasons or during vacation period when more passengers travels from one city to other. This enable railways to generate more revenue by cashing in extra demand of passengers, especially when pricing of such trains are dynamic. Tickets of these trains can cost upto four times more than the normal cost. Even booked on time it costs atleast Rs 200 more therefore it is safe to say that railway run these trains only for economic purpose.

On the flip side travellers are complaining a lot about such trains. According to passengers these trains are not run with service motto therefore such trains usually do not have the same kind of service as is the case with regular trains.

Railway says that these trains are operated only for those passengers who like to travel in the last minute, also only confirmed and RAC tickets are generated for these trains.

Southern Railway operated more Suvidha Special trains in 2016 compared to 2015 so that it can generate more revenue. But passengers say that if demand is so high on certain routes why railways do not introduce regular train services. Rail users are not satisfied alleging railways that these trains truly do not benefit passengers.
