Title - Passengers are forced to get down at Tiruchi station due to Jallikattu stir

As a part of precautionary measure by the Southern Railway has terminated or cancellation many trains that left hundreds of passengers particularly of unreserved class stranded.

According to railways this action was taken to avert rail rook stir by supporters of “Jallikattu.” Guruvayur-bound express train from Chennai was terminated at Tiruchi junction and was operated as Chennai-bound express train.

Other major trains cancelled are:

• Tiruchi – Dindigul
• Tiruchi - Karaikudi Passenger and
• Manamadurai - Tiruchi Passenger

Despite purchasing tickets upto Nagercoil or Madurai passengers were forced to get down and make their own arrangements for the onward journey.
