After hearing a ‘loud sound’, passengers pulled the alarm chain and brought the Secunderabad-bound Padmavathi Express to a halt between Vendodu and Kondagunta stations in Gudur area on Tuesday evening. SCR Additional Divisional Railway Manager S. Subba Rao said the train would be moved to the Gudur railway station where a thorough checking would be done.
