The overall situation of the Lower Assam has improved. A strict vigil is being maintained by army and other Para-military forces. District administration has lifted curfew at Tezpur in Sonitpur district. Curfew was also relaxed at Barpeta Road, Chirang and Aam Bagan of Nagaon from 4 to 15 hours. People in good number came out from their home to buy necessary items.


Meanwhile, North East Frontier Railway will run a special train tomorrow between Guwahati and Bangalore. Twelve hundred tickets have already been sold. State government will provide adequate security to the passengers.
