Title - Opening of road overbridge on September 15: Minister

Work on the road overbridge near Tholkappiar Sadukkam on Thanjavur-Pattukottai road had been completed and the bridge would be thrown open for traffic on September 15, said S.S.Palani Manickam, Union Minister of State for Finance, on Saturday.He saw the completed works on the railway portion of the bridge along with S. N. M. Ubayathullah, former State minister .He later told presspersons that work on the railway portion has been completed thus making the bridge motorable.The work has been going on since 2005.The overbridge will reduce the time and distance of travel from Thanjavur to Pattukottai and Mannargudi . The overbridge is for a kilometre and in that railway portion is 28 meters .People of Thanjavur are also eagerly awaiting the completion of Vennar bridge near Palli Agraharam.
