Title - Now food inspection on trains to be done between preparation and distribution

The new 2017's IRCTC's catering policy is made to provide pure and healthy food to on-board passengers. According to the new policy, IRCTC official's will carry out food inspection primarily between preparation and distribution of food on trains.

IRCTC says, in order to meet the new catering policy, it will set up nnew kitchens and upgrade exiting ones if required. Detailed instructions and guidelines have been issued to the Zonal Railways for conducting joint inspections by the medical, commercial and concerned departments.

Also a surprise inspection can be conducted by food safety officers anytime on any train. To prevent unauthorized vendors, joint team of RPF/GRP with ticket checking staff can also surprise checks.
