Title - North East Frontier Railway to make all its stations LED lit by March 31 this year

Northeast Frontier Railway has targeted to make all railway stations 100% LED lit by March 31 this year. By providing energy efficient lighting Northeast Frontier Railway aims to help in conservation of environment. This will also help in an annual saving of Rs. 67 lakhs every year. 

At present Northeast Frontier Railway has 534 stations, out of which 101 stations have already been made 100% LED lit. Out of the 101 stations where LED lighting works have been completed;14 are in Alipurduar Division, 30 are in Rangiya Division, 35 are in Katihar Division, 16 are in Lumding Division and 6 are in Tinsukia Division.
