Title - No Rollback of Flexi Fare Scheme

Criticised for charging more than airfares from passengers by imposing flexi fare system back in September 2019, Indian Railway is in no mood of rolling back flexi fare scheme. From September 2016 - 17 to 2018 - 19 railway has benefitted itself with Rs 371 crore, Rs 860 crore and Rs 262 crore, respectively, as additional earnings.

On the contrary Railway is aiming to provide additional facilities to passengers travelling in premier trains. Also Railway wants to improve punctuality of these trains. To overcome this problem Railway will enable its trains with GPS system.

"The GPS device will ensure that these trains run on time and we will know that where they are held up and concerned division will be taken to task," said railway sources.
