Title - No respite from court to sacked Rajdhani Caterer

Sacked catering firm of New Delhi – Sealdah Rajdhani Express filed a petition in Calcutta High Court to restore its license, but got no respite from the court.

Court has denied any interim relief to R K Associates and Hoteliers Pvt Ltd. Court says that this matter is directly associated with well-being of thousands of passengers and to act barely few minutes before scheduled departure of train will be against interest of people.

The departure time of New Delhi bound Rajdhani Express from Sealdah is 04:50PM and from New Delhi is 04:25PM on which RK Associate used to provide catering services. From last one week the license of this caterer is revoked by Indian Railways after which R K Associates moved to court.

The court, however, directed the petitioner to file an affidavit stating its position within four weeks, while asking the Railways to file a counter-affidavit in another week.
