Guwahati : Striker Jelendra Brahma had earlier fashioned many victories for Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB) SC to help the side lift the trophy in the Guwahati Sports Association Super Division Football League last year. But he turned the tables on ASEB wearing the white NF Railway SC jersey to make the men in blue bite the dust for the first time in the Abhishek Motors RG Baruah Trophy Super League by a solitary goal. The agile striker, who had played for ASEB last season, found the net for NF Railway's match-winning goal of the match off a pass from medio Bapa Biswas in the 14th minute. Brahma, in tandem with another ASEB recruit Sibra Narzary, helped the railway outfit dominate the proceedings on most of the occasions in today's outing played in ideal playing condition. ASEB glovesman Daoga Brahma also made few spectacular saves. The powermen, however, did not cave in meekly. They raided the Railway castle with some good moves but were ably tackled by the opponent defenders and custodian N. Ingo Singh. The powermen were held to a goalless draw by last year's runners-up Assam Police Blues in an earlier outing on Wednesday.
