Title - New Talkal refund rules introduced before Summer Vacation

Indian Railways has introduced new refund rules for Tatkal booking just before Summer Vacation. Tatkal tickets are very helpful for those passengers who wants to travel on an urgent basis or for those who are unable to get a confirmed berth due to rush. IRCTC says that new rules were introduced to help passengers during peak travel season. Here are the changes made by IRCTC -

• A passenger can claim full refund of fare including Tatkal Charges is train is more than 3 hours late.
• If a passenger do not want to travel on diverted route, a full refund claim including tatkal charges can be made provided boarding station and destination station are not on the route.
• If in any case passenger is accommodated in lower class in which passenger do not want to travel; a full refund can be claimed.
