Title - New railway numbers for foggy weather

New Delhi: In its attempt to boost its inquiry system, the Delhi division of Northern railway on Tuesday provided an additional manual inquiry number, in wake of the meteorological department issuing a warning of fog in the belt in the next 48-72 hours. The manual inquiry no. is 011-23747110.   Notably, the standard inquiry no. 139 will also remain operational, along with SMS inquiry at 139.  To further address passenger fog concerns efficiently the Northern Railway has set aside an additional telephone number — 9717631813 — for New Delhi, Old Delhi, Anand Vihar, Sarai Rohilla and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations.    According to railway officials, passengers can SMS their five-digit train number to this ten-digit number and the arrival and departure timings at these stations will be SMSed back to them.
