The Carriage Repair Workshop (CRW) of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) at Mancheswar has achieved a new milestone in productivity by overhauling Linke Holfmann Busch (LHB) coaches for the first time.

The hi-technology coaches  that are used in the rakes of Rajdhani Express trains were earlier repaired at Liluah Workshop in West Bengal, Jagadhri Workshop in the Haryana and Gorakhpur Workshop in the Uttar Pradesh.

Complete overhauling of bogies including repair of air-brake system and air-conditioning system, interiors and renewal of berths of  Linke Holfmann Busch  coaches has been undertaken and the coaches have been passed for passenger service.

This has paved the way for repair of the entire line of Rajdhani/Duronto rakes at Mancheswar.

A total of 126 coaches have been physically turned out during  the May which includes a total of the 97 non-AC coaches and the  highest ever  the 29 AC coaches as well.
