AHMEDABAD: Keeping in view the Diwali rush and the chhat pooja rush, the Western railways has decided to introduce one weekly train between Ahmedabad-Patna from October 2.The train will continue to run between two destinations till December 25. Officials said that "the decision was taken for the convenience of passengers and to clear extra rush during the festive season. The Ahmedabad-Patna will have 26 such services for the passengers.Train No. 09411 Ahmedabad-Patna (Weekly) Special train will depart from Ahmedabad at 4.35 pm on every Tuesday and reach Patna at 10.35 pm the next day. On its way back to Ahmedabad the train will leave Patna for Ahmedabad on every Thursday at 12.10 am and will Ahmedabad at 9 am on Friday.The train which will have will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper class and II class General Coaches.will halt at Nadiad, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Nagda, Ujjain, Shujalpur, Bhopal , Bina, Sagour, Damoh, Katni, Satna, Manikpur , Chheoki, Mirzapur, Mughalsarai, Buxar, Ara abd Danapur stations, said officials.Officials said that there is a major rush for people of Bihar to head for their home town. "Usually people would not only celebrate Diwali with their family but also make a beeline for the Chhat pooja. The Chhath pooja is performed in order to thank Sun (Surya) for sustaining life on earth and to request the granting of certain wishes. The Chhat Pooja is soon after Diwali and hence there is a rush," said the officer. |
